HONG KONG, July 8 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed up 153.52 points, or 0.59 percent, to 26,129.18 points on Wednesday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 25,849.78 and 26,299.84. Turnover totaled 196.19 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 25.31 billion U.S. dollars).
