HONG KONG, May 6 (Xinhua) -- Hong Kong stocks closed down 871.73 points, or 2.90 percent, to 29,209.82 points on Monday.

The benchmark Hang Seng Index traded between 28,956.47 and 29,384.01. Turnover totaled 137.26 billion Hong Kong dollars (about 17.51 billion US dollars).
