Themed "integrating tea into the Belt and Road Initiative and making the world love Chinese tea," the two-day forum consists of more than 20 events, including a tea products exhibition and trade fair, a green tea brick tasting event, a tea summit and an international matcha development forum.

The forum focuses on topics including the history of Sino-Russian tea trade, tea trading along the Belt and Road and the promotion of high-quality development of the tea industry.

More than 1,200 government officials, academics, buyers and exhibitors from 28 countries and regions, including Russia, Malaysia and Japan, have been attracted to the event, held in the ancient town of Yangloudong, one of the major homes of tea bricks in China.

The forum was jointly hosted by the China Association for the Promotion of International Agricultural Cooperation, relevant departments of Hubei Province and the international union of tea industry cooperation.
