Following the temporary suspension of the Xinfadi wholesale market on Saturday in Beijing, local citizens were concerned about the safety of vegetables, meat and fruits, and even rushed to supermarkets to hoard commodities in case of a potential second outbreak of the COVID-19.

On Sunday, JDDJ partnered with supermarket chains to establish the "Daojia Secured Sourcing Alliance", ensuring the daily supply in the capital city, while stabilizing prices and guaranteeing secured delivery services.

The initial "Daojia Secured Sourcing Alliance" list in Beijing includes Walmart, Yonghui, CR Vanguard, Sam’s Club, Olé, 7 FRESH, Huaguan, Jingkelong, AEON and Dashang.

The Dada Group's JDDJ is the largest local on-demand retail platform in the supermarket segment by GMV, iResearch Report said. It has rich resources in supermarket chains and strong on merchandise procurement and supply.
