Significant efforts were made in the areas of customs procedures, trade facilitation, government procurement, technical regulations and others during the 23rd round of negotiations for the Regional Comprehensive Economic Partnership (RCEP) taking place in Bangkok from July 22 to 27, according to China’s Ministry of Commerce (MOFCOM).

Comprehensive consultations have been conducted on goods, services, investments, finance, telecommunications, rules of country of origin, customs procedures, trade facilitation, trade remedies, sanitation, technical regulations, conformity assessment procedures, intellectual property, e-commerce and legal mechanisms.

The RCEP Ministerial Conference will be held on August 30-31 in Singapore, which would be the second ministerial conference since the end of June.
