Nintendo cut its full-year net profit forecast to 370 billion yen ($2.8 billion) on Tuesday, saying the global chip shortage had hit sales of its Switch console in the nine months to December.

The Japanese gaming giant had previously estimated that net profit for the year to March 2023 would be 400 billion yen.
