U.S. named another 11 Chinese firms, including construction giant China Communications Construction Company, as being owned or controlled by the Chinese military, the Pentagon said in a statement on Friday.

The United States added 24 Chinese companies to the so-called Entity List on Wednesday for their role in China's islet construction in the South China Sea, under which the U.S. would impose visa restrictions on several Chinese individuals involved in the construction, according to an official statement released by the U.S. Department of Commerce.

China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MOFA) on Thursday refuted the U.S. accusations of militarization of the South China Sea, saying it was unjust for the U.S. to impose sanctions on Chinese companies involved in certain construction projects in the South China Sea.
