The production and sales situation has improved in China, said Xin Guobin, a vice-minister of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology at news conference held on Thursday.

The industrial added value above the designated scale increased 4.4 percent year-on-year in the second quarter of this year, and the figure decreased 1.3 percent year-on-year in the first half of this year.

The added value of the high-tech manufacturing sector rose 4.5 percent in the first half of this year.

China builds 257,000 new 5G base stations in H1, and has a total of 410,000 stations by end of June.
