Shanghai gold futures open higher

SHANGHAI, Feb. 3 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures opened higher Monday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

The most active gold contract for June 2020 delivery was up 9.24 yuan (about 1.34 U.S. dollars) to open at 359.18 yuan a gram.

China launched gold futures in January 2008.
