SHANGHAI, Jan. 13 (Xinhua) -- Gold futures opened higher Wednesday in daytime trading on the Shanghai Futures Exchange.

The most active gold contract for February 2021 delivery was up 2.32 yuan (about 36 US cents) to open at 387 yuan a gram.

China launched gold futures in January 2008.
