State Grid Corp, the State-owned operator of China's power distribution network, has reached an agreement with Italian gas pipeline operator Snam, according to a report from Bloomberg.

A Memorandum of Understanding was signed in the Italian Embassy in Beijing, as part of the official visit of Italy's new Minister of Finance Giovannia Tria to China.
The two companies agreed to cooperate in environmentally friendly technology, and to explore opportunities together in China and abroad, including the construction of a biogas plant in rural China.
