TOKYO, Nov. 28 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo shares ended lower Thursday as despite a positive lead from fresh record closing highs on Wall Street overnight, renewed concerns over the prospect of an agreement being reached on an interim trade deal between two major economies weighed on sentiment.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 28.63 points, or 0.12 percent, from Wednesday to close the day at 23,409.14.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, lost 2.92 points, or 0.17 percent, to finish at 1,708.06.

Metal product, land transportation and machinery-oriented issues comprised those that declined the most by the close of play.
