Tokyo stocks bounce back in morning as yen's dip helps exporters

TOKYO, Aug. 19 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks advanced Wednesday morning recouping earlier losses as the yen's retreat against the U.S. dollar helped exporter issues bounce back.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average added 50.68 points, or 0.22 percent, from Tuesday to 23,101.76.

The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, gained 2.14 points, or 0.13 percent, at 1,612.99.

Rubber product, real estate and insurance issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
