Tokyo stocks lose ground in morning

TOKYO, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks lost ground Wednesday morning as investor concerns grew over the outlook for key trade talks between two major economies.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average dropped 173.06 points, or 0.74 percent, from Tuesday to 23,119.59.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, dropped 10.89 points, or 0.64 percent, at 1,685.84.
Marine transportation, mining, and oil and coal product issues comprised those that declined the most by the morning break.
