TOKYO, June 28 (Xinhua) -- Tokyo stocks opened lower Friday.

As of 9:15 am local time, the 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average fell 64.95 points, or 0.30 percent, from Thursday to 21,273.22.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, was down 3.75 points, or 0.24 percent, at 1,549.52.
Mining, oil and coal product, and securities house issues comprised those that declined the most in the opening minutes after the morning bell.
