TOKYO, Nov. 5 (Xinhua) - Tokyo stocks advanced Tuesday morning, following Wall Street's solid overnight lead, on increased hopes for a positive track for ongoing international trade discussions.

The 225-issue Nikkei Stock Average gained 342.89 points, or 1.50 percent, from Friday to 23,193.66.
The broader Topix index of all First Section issues on the Tokyo Stock Exchange, meanwhile, added 20.31 points, or 1.22 percent, at 1,686.81.
Mining, marine transportation and securities house-linked issues comprised those that gained the most by the morning break.
