​Zhangjiakou blast: 15 people in charge of the enterprise are in police custody

15 people in charge of the enterprise, who are blamed for the blast on Wednesday that killed 23 people in Zhangjiakou, Hebei Province, are in police custody.

After midnight on Wednesday, an explosion occurred in the vicinity of Hebei Shenghua Chemical Co in Qiaodong District, Zhangjiakou.

The death toll from the blast rose to 23 after one body was found Wednesday afternoon, local authorities said. Most of the victims were truck drivers inside trucks lined up outside a chemical factory.

The Zhangjiakou Municipal Government of Hebei Province briefed the media on the investigation results on Friday.
