Locals call it "the primary school on a cloud."
Wawu Primary School stands 2,700 meters above sea level in Zhaojue county, Liangshan autonomous prefecture, Southwest China's Sichuan Province.
The mountain school has received a "rosy dream soccer field," courtesy of the China women's national soccer team, fans and companies.
Marked with roses, Wawu is the second such school soccer field to be built through the auspices of the China women's team, nicknamed the Steel Roses.
Through soccer the children can have fun and perhaps even find a path off the mountains, says Qubi Shigu, principal of Wawu Primary School.
"This soccer field has been the dream of our whole school for a long time," Qubi said. "We will work a thousand times harder than before.
"With the new soccer pitch, the children will be very happy here in their childhood."
