Hundred of firemen were battling a blaze in Xiaozhu Mountain in Qingdao, East China's Shandong Province, as of 4 pm Saturday,  and on-site rescue work was still underway.

Due to the challenging terrain, 1,600 firefighters, 6 helicopters, 4 drones, more than 120 fire trucks, and more than 80 water trucks were mobilized.

At the same time, more than 1,200 firefighting sprayers and more than 800 firefighting fans were deployed to adjacent areas. More than 11,900 government officials and local residents are on alert to scan for potential fires.
