A gas pipe explosion at a steel factory in the city of Nanchang, capital of east China's Jiangxi Province, killed one person and injured nine others Wednesday, the provincial emergency response authority said.
The accident occurred at around 4:22 p.m. at the Fangda special steel company, officials said.
The injured have been sent to hospital for treatment. The fire has been put out.
An investigation is ongoing.
