Central China’s Hubei Province held a ceremony on Friday to mark the arrival of the first batch of the 30,000 sheep donated by Mongolia as a gesture of sympathy and support for China’s efforts in fighting COVID-19.

After giving thanks for the profound friendship of the Mongolian people, the Hubei government announced it would share the sheep with the frontline medical workers in designated hospitals in Hubei Province, medical teams from all over the country that assisted Hubei, and the families of those who died on duty working on the prevention and control of COVID-19 in Hubei Province.

According to the plan agreed upon by China and Mongolia, the 30,000 sheep will be transported in batches after strict inspection and quarantine. The government has entrusted professional logistics companies in strict accordance with the requirements of epidemic prevention and control in the process of transportation and distribution of the lamb.

All donated sheep are not allowed to enter the market. The Hubei Charity Federation will promptly announce the distribution of gift.
