Two dead bodies were recovered from a flooded tunnel in Zhuhai City, south China's Guangdong Province, as rescuers search for more than a dozen workers missing since last Thursday.
The two bodies were found around 1,060 and 1,070 meters away from the left entrance of the twin tunnel at 3:20 p.m. and 3:38 p.m., respectively, on Monday, local authorities said.
The construction site of the Shijingshan tunnel, part of the city's Xingye expressway, flooded at around 3:30 a.m. on July 15, trapping 14 workers.
Over the past few days, search teams have been slowly advancing into the tunnel as water is being pumped out. Professional divers, robots and unmanned ships have also joined the search.
