All missing firefighters have been confirmed dead, raising the death toll to 30 in a massive forest fire in southwest China’s Sichuan Province, local authorities announced. 

Thirty firefighters went missing Sunday afternoon while battling the forest fire after a sudden change in wind direction caused an outburst of the blaze.

The fire started at a height of about 3,800 meters and the terrain was complex, causing traffic and communication problems. 30 firefighters went unaccounted for while trying to put out the wildfire.
