A new quake rattled Gongxian County of Yibin City in Southwest China’s Sichuan Province Sunday morning, just 10 hours after a shallow quake hit the region and injured 31 people.

Sunday’s quake, which was measured at 4.6-magnitude by China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC), occurred at 8:28 am Sunday (Beijing Time). The epicenter, with a depth of 14 km, was monitored at 28.39 degrees north latitude and 104.82 degrees east longitude, the CENC said.

The latest two shallow quakes are after-shocks of the 6.0-magnitude quake that struck Gongxian and neighboring Changning counties on Monday evening, said a researcher at the CENC.

Roughly 150 after-shocks above 2.0-magnitude had been recorded after Monday’s quake, including three with a magnitude above 5.0, according to Xinhua News Agency, citing the Sichuan Earthquake Administration.
