Southwest China's Chongqing Municipal Government issued a notice approving the withdrawal of 4 counties from the country's list of poverty on February 22. The counties are Chengkou, Wuxi, Youyang and Pengshui.

The removal was applied by the counties themselves and approved after evaluations by municipal authorities and the third party, according to the regulations about poverty elimination.
