Beijing (People's Daily)- Forty-four foreign airlines changed the way they refer to Taiwan on their websites, as Civil Aviation Administration of China (CAAC) asked them to change their websites to list Taiwan as part of China ahead of a Wednesday deadline.

Four American airlines, United Airlines, American Airlines, Delta Air Lines and Hawaiian Airlines informed the CAAC on Wednesday they have revised their websites and will complete their updates in two weeks.

The CAAC confirmed the revisions, but said these fail to fulfill all the requirements. The authority said it will closely monitor developments and civil aviation management procedures will be activated, if necessary.
