45 people held accountable for Jan 10 explosion at a gold mine in Qixia, Shandong province

Twenty-two miners became trapped more than 600 meters underground after blasts ripped through a gold mine under construction in Qixia, East China's Shandong province, on Jan 10.

After the accident, rescuers rushed to the site in race against time to save the miners. After more than two weeks of relentless rescue work, 11 miners were rescued. However, they were unfortunately unable to save 10 miners, and one is still missing.
