A 5.0-magnitude earthquake hit Huocheng County, northwest China's Xinjiang Uygur Autonomous Region at 9:28 BJT (0128 GMT) on Monday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at a depth of 15 km, the CENC said.
