A 5.1-magnitude earthquake with a depth of 19 km struck Xichang, Sichuan Province in southwest China on Wednesday (Beijing Time), according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter was monitored at 27.7 degrees north latitude and 102.08 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
