An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.5 jolted in Aksay Kazak Autonomous County, Jiuquan of Gansu Province at 7:38 am BJT on Thursday, the China Earthquake Network Center(CENC) reported.
The epicenter, with a depth of 15 km, was initially determined to be at 38.88 degrees north latitude and 95.5 degrees east longitude.
