A 6.0-magnitude earthquake hit waters near Hualien County, China's Taiwan at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, according to the China Earthquake Networks Center (CENC).

The epicenter, with a depth of 30 kilometers, was monitored at 24.01 degrees north latitude and 122.65 degrees east longitude, the center said in a statement.
