A multiple-vehicle accident on Wednesday has injured seven people with one in serious condition. All injured have been hospitalized. Sixteen vehicles were damaged.

The accident happened near Xibazi toll station in Beijing-Tibet expressway at around 12:40 BJT (4:00 GMT) on Wednesday, northwest Beijing's Yanqing District. 

Investigation into the cause is underway.
