Having graduated from Nanchang University and now pursuing a master's degree in Suzhou University, Letonghan took an internship in orthopedics at Jinxian Hospital in January 2019, where he not only learned medical skills such as conducting surgery, but developed deep friendships with his colleagues.

He regards the hospital as his home, so he came here this January hoping to spend the Chinese New Year with his beloved colleagues. Having witnessed the courageous acts of his colleagues who fought hard in the battle against the novel coronavirus, Letonghan wanted to join in the fight to make contributions on his own.

"In such a difficult period, a large number of medical staff are needed in this battle against the coronavirus. I have been studying in China for eight years. For me, China is my second country. As a medical graduate student in orthopedics, I know my responsibilities. I volunteer to stay on the front line of this battle against the virus in order to win the battle to protect the lives and health of the Chinese people and contribute to our own strength," said Letonghan in a letter volunteering to do this work.
