The Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs says the spread of African swine flu in China is under control.

As of February 1, blockades have been lifted in 92 areas across 23 provinces affected by the epidemic.

A Ministry spokesperson explained that the spread of the epidemic had been slowing since December 2018.

The Ministry said it would oversee the implementation of preventative measures in all localities to keep the epidemic under control.
