All stevedores working at major ports' cold chain facilities have completed their vaccinations, Wu Chungeng, spokesperson for the Ministry of Transport, said at a press conference on Thursday.

Wu said about 5.3 million front-line transportation workers are covered by the vaccination program, and around 30 percent of them have completed their vaccinations so far.

Wu said front-line personnel in the transportation industry, especially those in imported cold-chain logistics, ship piloting, aviation and public transportation, are among the key groups to be vaccinated.

China has administered 22.77 million doses of coronavirus vaccine to people in the frontline and high-risk positions as of Tuesday, Zeng Yixin, deputy head of China's National Health Commission, said at a press conference Wednesday.

China's daily nucleic acid testing capability has now surpassed 15 million, and overall testing capabilities could further improve if batch testing methods are adopted, Zeng added.
