As a major part of the Asian Civilization Exhibition, “Shared Inspiration -- Asian Art Exhibition" was held recently at the National Art Museum of China. The photo shows people visiting the exhibition.
The event showcases 130 pieces of art by 120 artists from 41 countries, including China, India, Japan and Pakistan.
The exhibits are mainly based on the collections of the Ministry of Culture and Tourism of China, the National Art Museum of China and the China Artists Association.
There are also works recommended by the embassies of various countries in China, members of the Silk Road International Alliance of Art Museums and Galleries and the BRICS National Art Gallery Alliance.
The Conference on Dialogue of Asian Civilizations (CDAC) will be held in Beijing on May 15.
Within the three themed areas, different art pieces, such as wash paintings, oil paintings and sculptures, are exhibited to demonstrate the spirit of Chinese culture, the uniqueness of Asian civilization and the coexisting cultural origins among Asian countries.
The exhibition will last until May 26. (Compiled by Zhang Jian; with input from Xinhua)
