BEIJING, May 21 (Xinhua) -- The average life expectancy in southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region increased from 35.5 years in 1951 to 71.1 years in 2019, said a white paper released on Friday.

Over the past seven decades, Tibet has built health centers and clinics in every township and village, said the report titled "Tibet Since 1951: Liberation, Development and Prosperity," issued by China's State Council Information Office.
