A barber shop in Heshan, South China’s Guangdong Province, provides free water to sanitation workers, news website ThePaper.cn reported.
The boss of the barbershop, Huang Baichang, said they have been providing sanitation workers with free barreled water for over a year. Huang said that the workers are very happy and go to their shop for water every day.
“We meet them every day when they work outside of our shop, and we feel just like neighbors,” said Huang. “It’s so hot these days and we think they might need water.”
Sanitation workers work on the street.
An employee at the shop said they replace the barrel once it’s empty. During winter, the shop offers hot water to the workers.
Huang said, “As long as our shop is open, we keep offering water to them. It’s not a very big thing to us.”
