Beijing Fuxing Hospital reports 36 cases of positive nucleic acid testing

Beijing Fuxing Hospital reported a total of 36 cases of positive nucleic acid testing (NAT) on Thursday afternoon at a press conference on COVID-19 prevention and control measures in Beijing.

Pang Xinghuo, the deputy director of the Beijing Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, disclosed the situation of the concentrated outbreak of Fuxing Hospital.

Among the 36, there were 34 confirmed cases and 2 were positive NAT up to 6pm on February 19, which included 8 medical staff, 9 nursing and cleaning staff, 19 patients and their families. The new confirmed cases are all close contacts who have been isolated by the hospital, according to the report.

As of 3pm on February 20, there were 668 close contacts and 582 people were discharged from medical observations. The remaining 86 are close contacts, of which 79 are under intense medical observation and 7 are under medical observation at home.
