Beijing issues test licenses for driverless vehicles with passengers

Beijing issued its first batch of road test licenses for driverless vehicles with passengers on Monday, marking the official launch of the latest stage of testing with passengers in Beijing.
At the same time, the Beijing Economic and Technological Development Zone opened the city's first driverless vehicle test area. So far, Beijing has opened 151 driverless vehicle test roads, with a total length of 503.68 kilometers.
As of December 2019, Beijing has issued road test licenses for 77 vehicles from 13 driverless car companies. The cars have driven more than 1 million kilometers, the most of any city in China.
