The Beijing police have launched online platforms to help facilitate public security services on August 27.

The Beijing police’s website and mobile applications were released on Monday, with nearly 120 services available online. The two versions allow residents to stay informed about police work and safety news, run errands and interact with the police. Residents can access the online Beijing police service through its Wechat service account as well.

“The online Beijing police platforms publicizes information, provides services, guarantees supervision and enhances communication,” said Pan Xuhong, the deputy chief at Beijing Municipal Bureau of Public Safety.

“The smart question and answer system in the platforms can analyze the most consulted services by residents, and offer timely answers,” Pan said. “Residents can also file complaints and report illegal situations online.”

At this time, the platforms are only in Chinese.
