Beijing’s prosecuting authority has approved the arrest of a man who stabbed four people in a hospital earlier this week, said an official statement on Wednesday.

Cui Zhenguo, 36, used a kitchen knife in the Chaoyang Hospital on Monday, injuring three medical workers and a mother of a young patient before being stopped by the police.

Cui was charged with intentional homicide.

The Chaoyang police authority said the victims suffered no life-threatening injuries and are receiving medical treatment.
