Beijing reports one imported COVID-19 case

BEIJING, March 10 (Xinhua) -- Beijing reported a new confirmed case of novel coronavirus disease (COVID-19) imported from Britain on Monday, bringing the total number of imported cases in the capital to 14, local health authorities said Tuesday.

The newly confirmed patient is being treated in a designated hospital.

As of Monday, a total of 429 infections had been reported in Beijing. No new confirmed cases have been reported in 12 of the 16 districts in the city for more than 14 consecutive days.

On Monday, two imported cases of novel coronavirus infection were reported on the Chinese mainland, one of which was in Beijing and the other in Guangdong Province. By the end of Monday, 69 cases imported from overseas had been reported, according to the National Health Commission Tuesday.
