Beijing reported one new COVID-19 case, in Haidian district on Sunday, according to the district government on Sunday.

The case was identified through community screening and has been transferred to a designated hospital. The person who tested positive entered China on July 20 and arrived in Beijing on July 30 by high-speed rail.

The compound where the person lived has been marked as a high-risk zone and people in the area involved are undergoing nucleic acid COVID-19 tests. Close contacts and secondary contacts have been identified and quarantined.
