Beijing subway lines 2 and 13 have taken measures to control the temperature in different cars to improve passengers' summer travel experience and solve the problem in subway stations and cars, The Beijing News reported on Monday.

So far, three subway lines in Beijing have adopted the humanized air conditioning mode of "same train with different temperature cars". Following line 6, lines 2 and 13 began testing  the strong cold air and weak cold air temperature controlling mode on Monday. The temperature of "strong cold air" car is 2-3C lower than that of "weak cold air".

The first five cars of the control end of the line 2 train are set as strong cold air cars automatically at 24C, while the 6th car of the train is set in weak cold air, or at 26C. As for line 13, cars 1, 2, 5 and 6, whose temperature is set at 23C, are strong cold air cars; cars 3 and 4 are set as weak cold air at 26C.

The reporter found that, if it is a short ride, there is no difference between the "strong cold air car" and "weak cold air car". But staying in the car longer, one can obviously feel that, if standing under the air outlet, weak cold wind is mild, strong cold wind is relatively "strong".

According to the statistics of the subway department, passengers are satisfied with the "same train with different temperature cars" strategy, and this measure will be normalized in the future.
