Beijing Zoo will open next week

The Beijing Zoo will open its outdoor areas from 7:30 am to 5 pm starting on Monday. Visitors need to book tickets at least one day in advance and ID cards will be needed to enter the zoo.

There will be strict pandemic prevention and control rules. The zoo will only open its outdoor areas. Its indoor areas, such as indoor animal houses, the Museum of Science Popularization, exhibition halls, and dining rooms will be closed. The Panda House will have its outdoor area open. Recreation equipment and shows remain suspended.

Visitors should book tickets on the Beijing Zoo’s official Wechat account platform. An ID card will be needed to enter the zoo. Visitors should avoid rush hours. Every visitor should wear a mask, have their temperature tested, wait in line and keep a distance of 1.5 meters from others. The parking lots in the south gate, southwest gate, northwest gate and north gate will be closed.
