Border officers in China’s Tibet Autonomous Region vowed to stay committed to serving people.

Officers of the Border Administration of Shannan City, China’s Tibet Autonomous Region visited Kesong village, the first place to embrace democratic reform in Tibet in 1959, learning the history of the village’s efforts to lift itself out of poverty under the leadership of the Communist Party of China (CPC).

“Great achievements have been made in Kesong village over the 60 years, which strikes me a lot. The most important reason for its development is the leadership of the CPC which seeks happiness for the people and the rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,” officer Chen Ning said.  

The tour is part of a national education campaign themed “Staying true to our founding mission” among all Party members, which shows that the Party’s fundamental purpose of wholeheartedly serving the people and its historic mission of realizing national rejuvenation should be kept firmly in mind. 

“As young Party members, we should carry it in our daily lives and work, and better serve the people,” Chen added.

“The visit is to educate police officers to stay true to their original aspiration of the Party and take responsibility. We should devote ourselves to border administration, ensure the social security and stability of the border and make a big contribution to the region’s prosperity and development,” said Zhu Xiaoguang, the director of political office of the border administration.
