The boy who was lavishly praised online for his bravery for rescuing a baby from a pit is in good health.

The boy pulled the baby out soon after a road collapsed on Tuesday in northwest China's Qinghai Province, which killed six and injured 16.

A second collapse occurred along with an explosion in the pit when the little hero returned to try to help more people out after putting the baby in a safe place.

Fortunately, he was safe and brought to an ambulance by the medical staff.

The injured are receiving treatment and the rescue operations are under way. The cause of the accident is unclear.
