There has been another success for UK-China relationships as a Cambridge-China forum is set to be established.

The forum is a by-product of the Cambridge China Centre which launched in June which brings together businesses and individuals for business development.

It is not the first UK-China forum to be announced this year, with multiple regions of the country setting up their own versions of a forum to strengthen relationships with China.

The launch event for the forum will take place at the end of November across two days.

Visitors will be able to attend a number of speeches on key areas of collaboration such as Smart city and clean-tech, block chain, Artificial Intelligence, Fintech, east meets west, Agri-tech, and the fourth industrial revolution.

There will also be recruitment opportunities for PhD students.

Jinzhao Li, Managing Director of Cambridge China Centre, said: "We wanted to build on our expertise in the international education, culture and tourism sectors, extending this reputation to connect entrepreneurs, governments and business associates, giving members opportunities to transfer knowledge, drive opportunities, build relationships as well as creating a powerful UK/China business network."

The centre will allow businesses and individuals to find opportunities to work on with China in these three areas: business, science and technology; retail, leisure and tourism; and education.

Jinzhao went on to say: "Since its launch in June 2018, Cambridge China Centre has produced a series of cultural events helping members better understand Chinese culture and business practices.

"We are now excited to be focusing on launching the business sector activities by announcing the Cambridge China Forum – the inaugural event driving forward UK/China Business relationships."

Another forum set to launch in November is the East of England China forum which will be supported by London Stansted airport.

London Stansted's CEO Ken O'Toole is onboard with the forum, he said:

"As China becomes an increasingly important force in twenty-first-century global trade, it is of paramount importance that the east of England, plus north and east London, has in place a clear strategy that allows it to nurture long-term economic ties with the country.
