Located in Haishu District, Yinjiang is a historic cultural town of over 1,600 years. Loko from Canada joined a food-hunting trip to Yinjiang to explore traditional Ningbo food——the brown glutinous rice ball.
Thanks to the irrigation brought by Tuoshan Weir, Yinjiang has always been a land of milk and honey (traditional pastries and the brown glutinous rice ball in particular).
A small pastry store named “Big-Headed Vegetable” – after the white-rooted turnip – is a popular shop among locals, and is located in Tuoshan West Road. Its owner, Zhou Jinglong, is the inheritor of the Yinjiang-flavored brown glutinous rice ball legacy.
